Linlithgow Thistle produced their finest performance of the season thus far with a convincing 5-1 defeat of Barca Milton.
It did not take the home side long to notch the first goal, in fact four goals came within the first half hour.
McCrae converted an excellent Heeps cross, Heeps the smashed a 24 yard freekick low into the goalkeeper’s left hand post, before Orr finished well andG Deans looped a header into the net. The Thistle coasted until the break.
Into the second half, and credit to the visitors, the home side initially failed to regain the same level of control as in the first forty five minutes. It took until he 70th minute before possession and opportunities swung into Thistle’s favour.
Heeps and S Manderson both rattled the bar and a multitude of other chances went abegging before Thomson converted from 5 yards with a poacher’s goal.
Again Thistle pressed but were unable to capitalise further. In fact, the visitors prevented the West Lothian side claim their first clean sheet when, in the final seconds of the game, their striker was on hand to dispatch beyond Bruce, following a self-made error.
